HISTORY

Who are  Moravians?

Moravians have a reputation for bringing the gospel of Christ to people in places where others are unwilling or unable to go. Although small in number, our denomination is an international church, with congregations in North America, Central America, South America, Africa, and Europe, in addition to specialized ministries in Palestine and India. Three out of five Moravians live in Tanzania and South Africa; approximately four out of five Moravians worldwide are people of color. This political, cultural, economic, and racial diversity, found in the worldwide Moravian Church presents us with limitless possibilities of service and mission.

The Sturgeon Bay Moravian Church is a very active congregation with strong worship, music, youth and children’s ministries. We are known for focusing on Missional service in the community as well as on a national and international level. The congregation is blessed with a wide diversity of friends and members who come from many different religious backgrounds and see the church as a common ground and safe harbor in Christ.

We are passionate about Jesus, living our faith in practical and meaningful ways and enjoying the fellowship and joy that come from being a church community.
