Summer Camps

When:      June through August

Whom:     For children who have completed First Grade all the way to age 21

The Moravian Church has outstanding summer camping programs for youth.  The strength of the camps is that they are staffed by congregational pastors and lay leaders who relate to the young people throughout the year.  The primary camps include:

4M                For children who have completed 1st and 2nd grades.

Junior          For children who have completed 3rd through 5th grades.

Winmor       For children who have completed 6th, 7th or 8th grade.

Chetek         For youth who have completed 9th grade through age 21.

"Plus 50"     For the young at heart - 50 years old and up!

An SBMC informational booklet is provided each year.  Check our website under registrations/forms for the most current version.  This booklet will provide you with assistance on how to register on line and scholarship information that Sturgeon Bay Moravian Church provides for those individuals who are actively involved in Sturgeon Bay Moravian Church programs.

 

 

Vacation Bible School

When:      Normally the Second week in June (Reference actual registration form under

                  registrations/forms section of this website.)

Whom:     For children who are Age 4 by June 1 thru Grade 5

Helpers:   For Youth who have completed 6th grade thru Adults.

Vacation Bible School is a summer tradition.  It is an ecumenical endeavor sponsored by the following churches, but not limited to them:

Sturgeon Bay Moravian Church, Bay View Luthean, Christ the King Episcopal, Corpus Christi Catholic, Hope

United Church of Christ, St. Joseph's Catholic and United Methodist Church of Sturgeon Bay.

Retreats

When:      Winter and Spring

Whom:     All Ages

The Senior High youth attend a District Retreat each winter. 

 Many youth of all ages attend the annual Church Retreat each spring.  This is particularly true of Senior High youth who attend even if their parents do not.
